Well Joe I am not Dave, but I would love to see Canadian National, Boston and Maine, Maine Central and Bangor and Aroostook done on some of the heavyweights, even though they would not be exact matches they would find there way home with me. A runners pack of BAR 40' steel ice reefers would be nice too.
If you are still working on a single window plan coach it would be nice to see a 2 axle truck option for it as well as the three axle truck.

Different Dave, but I'll tell you what I would like to see.  I really like your heavyweight passenger cars, but, to date, there's been no roadnames that I can use.  Hint, hint, please run some names from roads in the southeastern U.S., please.  An observation car done up as an office car in Seaboard System, Seaboard Coast Line, or RF&P would be great!  That said, I would also have interest in SAL or ACL heavyweights.

Hey Joe, I have bought the 40 foot high cube SP boxcar (10100060) that you released in May, and it is great. MOST of your SP stuff is too old for me, since I model the 1980's. The new PFE cars look great, but 8 of them running like that in 1985 would be hard to belive, the white SPFE cars would look more correct.

I am planning on building a smaller switching layout, so I tend to look to short cars to work with that are correct for my era, while having longer cars (such as the SP 60fter 10300102) that are more typical. Here is a car with great SP potential, in 1980. She is a 40 foot plywood loading box car, correct for earlier years as well as a few years later.

Hopefully somebody here might know. I'm having a bit of angst with the PFE runner pack. Those are 51' cars, right? To my knowledge, which is somewhat limited, PFE had 45' (external length) cars, then went straight to 57'. Since I model ~1970, the vast bulk of PFE's fleet then was the 57' mechs.

IOW, is my impression right, and MTL's "50 ft." mechanicals are foobies in PFE? I've been avoiding the MTL cars because of this. I guess I must have 60-70 Athearn (Roundhouse) and Red Caboose 57' cars, maybe a couple of Con-Cors. Should I rethink this and add the MTLs to my fleet?

EDIT: I should admit that I do know a little about the produce industry, having lived in the middle of it for years. The length standardization became very important as the packing houses moved away from open sheds, and loading doors had to be spaced to match the spotted cuts of outbound cars that would otherwise remain coupled. It wouldn't do if there were mixed car sizes.
