Cody,Those boxcabs on that layout just run off of 1.5V D battery and an on/off switch. Their motors are from Kato power chassis and are rated at 12V. They have a very low gear ratio so the only way for them to be "slow" is to run them at reduced voltage. They are also wired together with a cap. The power max chassis might do well but that is a bit on the moot side of things. Speaking of the E-Z throttle, i built my own 9v battery throttle based on plans i found on the interwebz so it looks like i'm set since i might be buying one of these beauties: http://www.nigellawton009.com/6V6mmx10mmMicroMotors.htmlfor not only my Nn3 project but one of the larger motors for a LNER Y6 tram i plan to model (or convert from one of the Tomy, thomas locos since i can get ahold of one for dirt)-Cody F.
