March Micro-Trains

Please look at my previous post and note this is the same engine in two different locations on my layout.  Hint: the color looks remarkably different, especially the blue.  Our posted photos are far from accurate images of the actual colors of our models, unless we are very experienced photographers.  I am not one.

I was not interested in diesel when Life-Life introduced this E-6.  Just arrived.
Runs nice and powered A can move a string of heavy weights very well.

But I based my opinion on seeing the models in person at my local hobby shop.  The MTL blue is bright.  They might have used the touch-up paint from Mustang-'Wire.

   I am sorry to see this topic get "off track" on to the color differences of various B&O blue and grey schemes. I hope I did not contribute to this derailment.
 
I happened to like the colors that Micro-Trains used for the B&O heavy weight cars.  I am delighted the cars are available.

I posted two photos of the same B&O Life-Like engine on my layout in two separate locations to demonstrate "the obvious": that color and lightening are very interdependent.

I concur completely that making ones decision on whether they like the colors available for n-scale B&O passenger cars is best made by seeing them in person, i.e. at the LHS.

The initial topic was March Micro-Trains.  I posted to share my enthusiasm for the B&O cars.

A good photo showing the dark royal blue, and also demonstrates how light the gray gets in sunlight.
