My whole back had spasmed and wouldn't unclench; I had allowed myself to get behind on the meds.  I have to say that it was the most painful thing I've ever felt.  I felt like the screws were going to burst out through my skin.

Back in May, I had a friend who went through a triple-by-pass.

He was home just a couple of days and allowed himself to get behind on the meds... Not a good thing. 

He was back in the hospital to deal with the pain.

Good news Col..... you'll be back in the pink in no time flat ! Enjoy a few "Dave days" until it's time to play weather roulette again !

I love "Dave Days."  They just don't come around very often in these parts and are even forecast to become fewer and farther between beginning in early December.

Why would you mount the slide switch on the far (backside) side of the turnout?  Or am I seeing that wrong?

Why not? He's not going to throw it when a train is there, and when one is there, you won't see the switch.

1. Mounting the slide switch for a turnout across the tracks, further away from reach vs. closer to the facia with an easier reach and less chance of chance of causing damage.

Had the chance to buy one several times. Have elected not to. They are fuel hogs, and repairs are pretty costly. I looked at getting a set of Harsco "supervisor" gear for my truck, but it was going to run me about $5000.
