Hi Ian,
Just wanted to tell you I saw your video on installing the Tam Valley decoder and servos.  Nice job!  I had just started installing a couple in a very similar way, but didn't like the way I was handling the "cranking" part.  Tried your wire shape instead and like it much better.

Also, you have a fantastic layout and a nice website to showcase it.

How does one model Baltimore Xmas Tree Decorations in N? That would be an awesome animation actually, a Thank You bag swirling in the wind in an alley. Maybe someone should make decals for shopping bags...  ;D

Worked some more around CP 80. Added some graffiti decals that I got from Tivo about 6-7 years ago! No comments about no shoes on the bridge, its not done yet!

Leaves. First week of October, so plenty of green and color. Although if you were to model 2010 around here it would be first week of October and peak already!

Got my first set of new subway cars in yesterday. These are the Kato EIDEN 900 series cars from Kato Japan. I have a dedicated 100' loop with a few above ground and below ground stations that will be run on a schedule by the computer. These cars will be like MBTA's blue line in that they can use overhead and 3rd rail. Amazingly out of the box all the Japanese markings are decals not applied, so that saved me a lot of work by not having to remove them. I still need to add a decoder, upgrade the LEDs to sunny white, and move the red marker lights up higher.  There is one powered car, and then  a trailer car with lighting. I'm going to run them in 4 car sets.
