I always said to the new officers when I was dispatching that I did not care what word they said, as long as it matched the letter they wanted it to stand for....as there was a Sgt who...um..used to say J, George quite a bit... Must have been French Canadian  :P

I've heard J George a few times too.  The best one I heard was someone who forgot "Sam", saying, "Sea".  Not a useful phonetic there...

I suppose I should take a moment to apologize for sending this thread a little Ocean-Tom.

Very late, but here are some of my other projects:

New Hampshire Northcoast GP9. The engine is in the middle of painting. Decals are from Concord Car Shops.

These engines always ran in pairs so here is the second unit. This is an older paint scheme without the large logo and safety stripes. This is also a work in progress.

Hey, I figured if everyone else was typing in cryptic codes that only hold meaning for the "in crowd"... :)

I actually did this on a SCO Unix box once, just to see what would happen, since we were going to be reloading it anyway. The system came with the command prompt eventually--the OS was already loaded in memory, after all--but it was about as useful as a typical manager. :)
