So why is it that so many forumites are in MD?  ???  Is there some sort of N scale gravitational pull...or do N scalers naturally like crabs?  :P

I was wondering the same thing when I first joined and guess what - I'm also living in MD.

Although I'm a Marylander, too, I guess I'll have to come to Erik's defense here.  He posted this about a week and a half ago:

I'm having fried turkey for one of my Thanksgiving dinners next Tuesday.  It'll be my first time trying it.  This will be a record Thanksgiving holiday for me, 4 dinners!  The first one is this Saturday here with my in-laws.  The second one is two days later on Tuesday in Denver at my brother-in-laws.  The 3rd is two days later on T-Day in Edgewater, Maryland at my mothers and two days after that, the the big (38 family members) celebration in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.  I may need two seats on the flight home . . .

Don't worry Ed; the social stigma associated with that is less than that of having hung out with Lee voluntarily........ ;D ;D ;D

Jeezey Chreezy, Erik!  You're about 20 minutes from John's house, 15 from Seusscaboose, a half hour from Rock GP40's, and an hour from mine!  What are you doing this evening?  Perhaps an impromptu ops session is in order!

Lee

Doh!!  I haven't logged on to the forum since I posted yesterday.  I didn't realize half the members here were so close!  We're heading into Annapolis in a little bit and then to BWI and back home.  We spent the last week here (my mom and grandmother live in Edgewater and my sister lives in Catonsville) with a two day foray up to PA over the weekend.  I come out every year for the T-day holiday.  Maybe next year before I come out, we can arrange a get together while I'm here.  I should be able to break away from the family for an evening.  It would be great to meet you guys!

If you're still cutting sub roadbed by next Thanksgiving, we're voting you off the island.
