Now that I've had the opportunity to visit the area recently with a CRHS Rail-B-Q last May and the CRHS Express in October, I must say that I think you are doing a great job of catching the feel of the area.  I think of Enola when I view your photos.  And, as I'm sure you know, the GG1 is right at home in Enola!  Nice job on the enginehouse.

I was thinking the same thing about the tank car.  Here's my own shot from the same spot.  Of course, this isn't from the CR era, but it does have a blue leader!

This was the yard switcher lashup in 1980, at least on the west end.


7944 was tethered to a U-25, IIRC, I didn't take a shot of them together though, but I bet it wouldn't take long to find one.

Both were PC paint-outs.  Note the "R" has been modified to confuse Canadians.  Also note that at that time the cabin car ramp at left was in full use.  Shiny rails and everything!

I would love to model the cabin ramp if I (1) had the room and (2) had a way to keep the cabins in place until needed one at a time.

It's not that I was avoiding the fine brass products offered by several TRW members...  but the Heljan kit was sitting lonely at my LHS desiring a home.  I still have enough parts to make a small fueling rack.

You can use a cleverly place Tortoise machine to provide a "hand brake" on the cabin ramp.  "Bzzzzz" it's locked, "bzzzz" it's rolling down the track!  Weeeee!
