For all you slobber Pennsy fans SPF's I just saw on ESM's site that dealers are taking orders for them.

Oh and sorry they do have Conrail :P and PC available :P too  ;D ;D ::)

Although I can not find any dealers that have them listed for reservation ::) but as soon as do I am going to put them on reserve.

Speaking of allowances....  That's a damn fine looking car.  I could see a couple of PC's or a PRR or two (or both) rolling around on my layout...   But $20 smackeroos a piece!  Voof!  I know I know, the new tooling and the detail are worth it, but you have to remember, I came up when freight cars (such as they were) could be had for $2.99!  I would draw the line somewhere around $13 or $15 for a gon...  Guess I better wait for the economy to collapse a bit more.

A street price of $20 is steep, but you gotta figure that the tooling costs for these things can't really be amortized over a dozen or so paint schemes. I'm certainly no Pennsy expert, but the only other paint ESM could offer that I can think of would be the Conrail MOW scheme with the yellow end.

I had a chance to speak with ESM's owner and Springfield. He was showing off pilot samples of the PRR, PC, and Conrails, and they do indeed look excellent. It seems the guy has spent a lot of time on this project, and invested a lot to change them from cast resin to injection molded, so I hope he does really well with them.

How about Conrail with CR reporting marks?  The ad seems to indicate two numbers with NYC paint outs.
