As a die in the wool SPF I will definately get some of these.  As far as the Athearn gons, I read that they are based on an AT&SF model.  At the price they want I will get maybe 3 at the most.  I have a couple of the Athearn ones and I'm not impressed with them.  Paint (everybody's complaint), I don't like there screw on couplers and I do have some problems on certain curves due to their length. They do serve as fillins till something new comes along which the ESM's will provide.

The original N&W negative# to ns2459.jpeg was NW02837.  There was a straight-on full side view of N&W 70504 that was recorded that same day, on original negative# NW02836.  While the 3/4-view is a big plus, The full side view is the gem that holds all pertinent information.

My RR has a the Pepacton reservoir project as a customer, one of these would look good among the 50 footers hauling goods.

Given that 49 of the 50 G3/G3as (G3s rode on N&W class T79 trucks, G3as rode on N&W class T92 trucks) were still on roster as of 1969, I'd be willing to bet some got the block NW as well.  Both classes were built by Virginia Bridge & Iron...

Well since you guys were just talking about it..

I wonder if IM can screw something up by just distributing it?

They are under the Intermountain listing. Could be the ESM cars, however? Anyone heard of Intermountain making these?
