Here is a photo sequence of an eastbound freight working it's way downgrade as it passes a westbound freight in a siding.  I gotta say, it's fun running trains though completed scenery!

wow...that's cool! Nice modeling, EW.

Your ballast is terrific. What did you use?

Outstanding work...... I sat and gazed at those for a good five minutes..... !
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Chuck,

That's Highball N scale Cinder ballast.  I bought enough years ago to do the mountainous portion of the layout.  I just bought some more and it's significantly darker . . .  I may mix in some dark gray.

I haven't seen the trestle/road/stream/water tower scene before. Looks fantastic!

Nice MoP boxcar, there, Erik. :D That scenery makes me feel as if I'm there track-side.

I may have to get one of those DRGW caboose kits for my freelance railroad, they're sweet!  ;)

Your layout really sucks. Don't ever show pictures of it on here again...

There certainly is something to seeing them move.
