Dave: I don't know why but Kato continues to use the term "DCC Friendly" despite that fact that their locos are DCC Ready. I suppose that they are not assuming anyone will make a drop-in decoder for a given loco, thus making it "Friendly" to a hard wire.
I look at that and see a starting point for some Centipede trucks. Bring on Seaboard Centipedes!!!

Will they do a special shell for 4800? What's the point of being a rivet counter if there aren't any rivets?I'll hold out for the second run of these, which I guess we can expect in what, 2024?... By then I'll have my layout converted to DCC catenary...Lee
