Today PCM/BLI posted a "certificate" indicating they use lead-free paint (given the China issue).

The M1 will be edible too? :P

Too bad PCM isn't a Chinese company... by now the management would have committed suicide due to their shameful performances!

What you describe is a Japanese cultural expectation. I've never heard it attributed to Chinese people.

The owner or plant manager (depending on whose report you read) of the Mattel factory in China where the lead-based paint was used on toys hanged himself in the factory earlier in the week.  There have been a couple of other similar instances in China in the last several months.

It looks like PCM only release ONE N Scale model per year. They did the E7 already and now they are exhausted and need to sleep a year so the next one will be Dec 2008 then it will announce that it is only making HO scale models and 2010 will see a move into O scale so that they can mess with them next. Oh and you might see in 2020 that they announce sound in Z scale.  :o :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D

I guess Athearn and Walthers will have released a full range of sound equipped locomotives by the time PCM wake up .

mumble mumble gak  ;D

Wow - did you loose millions with this company that gave you such a hatred for them ?  That is  a shameful comment to make about anyone.

You should be careful wishing death upon anyone ......

:(

" Happy things " , are products received in a timely manner that work and look good . Unhappy things are commitments made for goods that are being pushed off forever which makes me regret I ordered now for fear of short comings of the product . My money has been committed on a bounced product . How would PCM like a bounced check ?

The point is that we should not infer/ wish death upon others - which the phrase "Too Bad...." does. It's not civil to do so, and to Date this has been a Civil board.
We may jive with one another from time to time, but we don't infer harm to one another.

<mod>I agree, saying "too bad..." does cross the line toward bad taste. I trust the offending parties are adult enough to adjust their own statements</mod>

Given that though, the way this company runs its affairs sets a new low, even for THIS industry...

I think you guys are taking Jerry's quote waaaay out of context. I'm sure he didn't quite mean it as taken. But it does go to show that posts need a lot of thought to avoid miscommunication. Cut the guy some slack and relax there are more important and bigger issues in life to worry about.
