Yes I would go for a Mississippi River, too.   Not sure what else they have that's close but I think anything BNSF would sell.

The Santa Fe Super Chief diner and sleepers are near exact matches for BNSF cars.  The smoothside baggage could be a a standin for a generator car with some exhaust gear on the roof, etc....   Of course they all need logo plates and additional dome antennas.

An N-scale Warren Buffet is all you need.

Cool!  I figured some of the new passenger cars hitting the shelves might be appropriate but I haven't looked into it in many years.   Thing is they'll probably do the swoosh versions like they did with the Grinstein car, which doesn't help me much.   Are the diner and sleepers available separately/undec?   Guess I need to do some research.

I got one of the Kobo Grinstein cars (I think I may have bought it from you?) just to see what it was like...they did make a few mods but it doesn't necessarily match up to the circle logo era car.  And of course the logo plates are different.  I'm trying to decide whether to bash the Kobo one or continue on with the undec I have.   It would be nice if Kato would offer the parts separately, like the porch railings.  Anyway, I'm gonna run the Kobo as-is for now.  My "extended" era actually dips into swoosh-time a little so for now it'll do.

I have dithered on the paint schemes as well, which I think is why I sold the Kobo car.... 

I managed to get the ELS decal set which has lettering for all the business cars in both schemes.  I started leaning towards the older scheme, but now I am not too sure.

I actually have 4-5 Superchief cars I have collected over the years and a Walthers smoothside baggage car.

Yeah, that's kinda why I haven't really done much.  I intended to JUST get Mississippi River done, since it was often run solo, plus I have two of the Con-Cor Grinstein G/C cars that I could run as a "transition mid/late 90's" train.   But it was squarely on the backburner, and I bought the Kobo car at a weak moment.      

I will say, modeling the Fort Worth area...the business train was/is always around.  So it's at least somewhat important to my roster. (versus, say, someone modeling some branch that would rarely see such a run)

You guys need to come to OKC!  It's a big show...   Or even better...Plano, TX in January.  I bet I could even get you a spot in that one still.  It's not on the scale of OKC though....still decent.
