Why yes it is. I forgot he was one of the No. Va guys.

Gil and I are charter members of the Central Carolina NScalers and I see him at club events and at Michael Pennie's, Scott Teague's and my Ops Sessions.

Those yellow shirts are hard to miss.

So that's why he moved to NC, all those great N Scale layouts!  The No Va crowd better get cracking.

Dude, next time you have an ops session, let me know.

March 7th, 11am. But it's a 5 hour drive for you.

But, if I can make it, can I come?  And what era will it be?

Whoa, Kevin!!!!!  It's coming together nicely.  I've recently made the relo to GSO.  Only 45 mins to Lexington!  Looking forward to another visit.   ;)

Steve, haven't heard from you in a while. I though maybe you had left the area, but you relocated??? Open invitation anytime, including the Ops Session 03/07.

Iain, sure. I run mostly modern NS, with a couple of heritage trains to fill in empty spots. There's 42 trains on a full schedule, about 5 hours with 10-12 people. There are 5 locals on the NS layout and 4 locals on the WSS. Locals are pot lock depending on rotation. We use FRS radios (I have a spare) and Digitrax throttles (no spares, but someone may have an extra).

Crew meeting at 10:30am, first train out at 11. I provide lunch at 1:00. I am 1 mile off I-85 in Lexington. I think it's a good 5 hours from you, maybe a little over. I'm thinking 250 some miles. I found a Microtel Inn about 6 miles up I-85 for $59 a night if you wanted to stay over either Friday or Sat.

One of the guys that usually comes said something about the Cape Fear or New Bern model show that day??

If either of yous guys is interested, just let me know a couple of days ahead of time.

Yeah, I just found out that is the weekend of the New Bern show, and as I will be there both days.  Maybe next time?

Modern NS is fine, and I have a throttle.
