I finally summoned the courage to finish and install the Union Station building I kitbashed in HO for a friend. Three Walthers kits rearranged to span a ten track yard.

Aw shucks, that is so darn cute!  I still miss my cat!

Most of our cats have ignored my modeling, although they liked to sleep nearby.  A few have wanted to play with whatever I was doing.  We had one, named Spook (showed up on Halloween), who was helpful.  She was one of the sleepers, although she sometimes liked to just watch.  Either way, she lay close enough that, if I needed to hold a sheet of something in place, I could pick up one front paw and use it for a weight!  She'd just lay there, until I was done.

You gave me an idea, I'm grateful for that already. Nevertheless, I have a few questions for you. Do I understand correctly that you simply glued together a few fronts from DPM kits? I'm kind of surprised that they're all at the same height. I would like to reproduce such a road on one of my modules.

What primer did you use for this row of houses? I assume they will get a proper colour at some point? What about the interior work?

One of the nice things about DPMs in general is that they all roughly go together the same way with similar sides,backs and fronts. While they are easy to pick out as a kit on a layout, their flexibility for kit bashing can not be understated.

No, this is one (1) Walthers kit in HO scale that you see here.  This is one of three structures I used to form a city block.  I went stock here, because I’m lazy.  But, what you suggest for DPM kitbashing will work with a little effort.  I will put enough of an interior to suggest life, but I won’t superdetail the inside.  Just enough to not look empty.
