Absolutly Fantastic, Mike. Make me wish I had my FEF-3. Sent it to a friend for full sound and lighting treatment. Layout is really looking good. Got to find some funds to come down and take a look in person.

Hi guys , this is just a quick video spot I shot at our run session last Saturday. We had a few visitors and everyone had a great time. We did have one small problem and that was we did not have enough throttles. Everyone shared though and lots of trains were run.

Thanks Mark and yes all Unitrack. We have only had to solder 2 joints in the four years it has been running and about 1000 feet of track and about 40 turnouts or so.

Blazeman,

I will answer your question for Mike because I built the entire refinery area. First let me say they are all LED's with no incandescents at all.

The refinery process units are lit with 60 3v Nano size LED's that are I think "bright white". I wanted to emulate the new bright lights we would typically see on refineries, power plants and many heavy industrial plants.

I wanted a more incandescent look to all the other areas. There are currently 65 3v Nano size LED's and are "golden whites". They worked quite well, I think, and are much closer to what we would see in many neighborhoods, old areas of town, etc.. The power supply that I am using can handle another 30 LED's. I, over time, may end up adding more to the outside of the refinery.

All of those LED's are powered by only two regulated power supplies. The 60 refinery lights are on one and it has a max. of 65, so I will not add to this one. However, the remaining 65 are on their on regulated power supply that has a max. of 100, so I can add some more there, however I think the scene is maxed out as far as lights.

In addition, one of the units on far right of the refinery has 25 fiber optic wires lit by one large LED. They do not show very well as they are overpowered by the non fibered lights. Also, let me say that there is not one resistor employed in this entire setup.  The pleasure of using a 3v LED with a regulated 3v power supply. Works for me.

I would post the name of the supplier but I do not want to mention retailers and rankle someone.
