I actually have a Virginia Central car, and could be convinced to part with it.

Give it to Brian Carhart (RockGp40).  He's now the proud owner of my last layout, known as the "Virginia Central," which was a play on words of its inspiration, the "Carolina Central."  :D

I'm not sure I could ever get enough of one of the C&O twin bay styles that MT reruns every 20 years.   :(

RF&P?  L&N?

I actually don't care if the paint job is correct, the car needs to be. (or close)

The VC cars linked here are different cars altogether.

GE owns a fair amount of these across many roads.

It's not a Berwick, I am not 100% sure of the maun of the car.

I bought the "General Electrics Shortline Box Cars" by David Casdorph hoping that would have the answer.
http://www.fcix.info/fcj.htm

And there was not much info there, only describing a like car as a Place C 5077 Cubic Foot boxcar (page 3 shows an example with no manufacturer info etc)

I even had HD from MTW run this past "chris v" before, I dont think we got it pinned.

If anyone has the silver bullet on these cars, you would be my instant friend.

The goal would be to make them look like this:
