The Bowser GLa is an accurate model of a Pennsy hopper whereas the MTL 2-bay is really a foobie for Pennsy anyway.  Bowser does (did?) the Berwind GLa...  I have one.

They did Berwind and the New River & Pocohontas (Berwind).

I am surprised that Bowser has not done these in VGN. (they recently did the HO version in VGN though).


VGN had some - they were all gone before the N&W merger.

I have been asking MTL to do the NE caboose for years.  So far, nothing.  I totally agree on ride height.  I would buy enough RDG/CNJ/WM to make Shipsure happy for sure!

X58s would be even better, but I'm doubting MTL will do it...  After all, they've already offered their standard 50' ribside plug door as a PRR X58 foobie.  I have one, BTW, and am in the process of weathering it (I've added ACI placards and COTS).  But it's still a foobie.

If Joe and the crew doesn't want to touch this in PRR, PC, CR, or LV, maybe FVM could be persuaded.

2 bay cement hoppers (The CN 2-bay was very nice): Ciment Quebec, Lehigh Cement (LEHX), Titan cement, we are lacking in modern cement carriers unless you want blue circle, southdown, or winchester!!

How about making available cars that MTL has already made in the past but release them as undecorated.  Lots of modelers are into making their own decals for local roads that will never see the releases of the big roads.  In addition there are companies that do custom decal work.  I'm thinking of rolling stock such as 2 bay oppen hoppers [both offset & ribbed].  Small RR's, especially here in the East, had tons of them. Other cars would be gondolas, box cars and flatcars.   Maybe package them in 5 or 10 packs.  Maybe apply a primer coat of paint to them so they are ready to finish.  

As for a new car how about a channel side rebuilt 2 bay open hopper?  Two bay open hoppers saw a lot of really tough service between the wars hauling coal and following WWII many were rebuilt with channel sides rather than ribbed sides.

How about a Milwaukee 50' short rib box car (with separate grabs and ladders, end details, etc., please)? Just as many schemes available as the X58. You could do the single door version first, then the double (Both with and without roofwalks), then the chip gon conversion? Please?
