Announced today.

https://www.scaletrains.com/n-scale/n-scale-locomotives/rivet-counter-n-scale-wabtec-cm44ac.html?availability=40

Not sure if this the "all new" N scale loco.

EDIT: This appears to confirm that this is the "all new" N scale loco:

"Our next announcement includes an all-new model, the Rivet Counter HO Scale Wabtec CM44AC Diesel Locomotive, now available for the first time in N Scale. "

Wait. Was that humongous e-mail I got from them this morning the big announcement? Not a single thing even approaching interest on my end. :(

Well aren't you the lucky guy. I could easily blow all of next year's budget on this one drop.

Maybe they are showing mercy for me after the wallet-burner of all numbers of UP GP30s and 30Bs, and UP fast-forties. I do have a U50C (OMG! HO!) on order, hedging my bet about an N version. It'll be a shelf queen, but talk about something representative of my railfanning days 50+ years ago. Had to have one.

I'll admit the SD45 in N&W bicentennial paint caught my eye this morning since that was close to my modeling period and it's entirely plausible it could have migrated west, but darn it all, it's HO. Boo.

Does this comment really desire a down-vote?!?!?  :RUEffinKiddingMe:  Just because someone (who buys Scale Trains models) does not see anything interesting in this announcement, he should be dinged? Come on!  This is not Facebook you trigger-happy people!

I too was quite underwhelmed. Just not my wheelhouse but am grateful for the rate they are producing and am anticipating the additional runs of current models.
Hopeful for long awaited and suggested U-boats (not holding my breath after conversations with Shane  :().

It's OK, Pete. I saw that and had to laugh. "What? You don't like modern $#!+? How dare you!"

And you're right. I'm probably 50, maybe 60% of ST's gross sales... of course not, but it sure feels like it sometimes.  :ashat:

Off hand, I've got pix of NW 1776 in the mid-west (St Louis if I remember correctly).

I've been bugging them to bring the SD45 to N, probably way down on their list due to the relatively recent Atlas N version.

I was hoping the spiral-jacketed tank car would be announced in N.

These are awesome looking and glad they are announced. But...as someone who remembered the bicentennial really well, I'm surprised at how late a lot of things are coming in celebrating 250 years. As I remember even the prototype railroads and modeling companies were painting locomotives and model companies were putting our products well before July 4th, 1976. This time things seem to be coming later. But we'll gladly take it.
