Hey Ed, the Ma&Pa website could use your touch. The way it is now you print out an order form and send it to them. I printed it out about a month ago and never got around to it. But if I could just click buy I'd have gave them my money.

Oh I know. I see the guys at shows here and talk to them but, tbf, I don't think they're really up for too much change. They're nice guys though so I don't make a thing about it.

But I would LOVE to help them modernize their operation. Maybe once I finally find a real job.

First the barn area next to a Walthers house.


Now I need a locomotive. I like this little 2-8-0 the Huntington & Broad Top had.


This is a Kato 9600 Japan model. I put in a 0816 Faulhaber with a gearhead. There is a 3D cradle under the motor and a 3D block on top. The motor fits right into the stock sprung contact strips. So the top block keeps pressure off the shaft bearing.




Test printing a set of "American" cylinders. If I can get that to work the body shell should be easy. A Kato Mikado tender drawbar fits right into the back. The 9600 has much smaller drivers than the Bachmann 2-8-0. The locomotive has been running great, but need to fix those cylinders first...

And the Doodlebug file is now called "Doodlebug sunroof". I could probably print the thing whole, but I get a ripple where the height of the roof stops and the radiator keeps going. So printed them separately.

It is just a Samsung SM-G973F that is 7 years old now... I crop all of the photos and then resize them to 1000 wide.

I stretched out the Pressed Steel car so now it is 33' and a PRR GL hopper.

Not a GL. It is a CLca.  There are like 4 versions of them.

Just bought a Bowser GLa hopper for $33 bucks  :|  I think I'll draw them next... and print them for ~0.50 cents each.

@Chris333 Nice work! I really enjoy your threads, they motivate me to get off my rear end and finish some projects! Two quick questions

1) Is that a Micro Ace 9600? I've thought about using one of those for a starting point on one of my own projects. What's the wheel diameter and driver wheel base?

2) What's your 3d printer set up? The results you crank out are impressive!

Looks like the drivers are 52.32" and the driver WB is 1.236". It is from 2014 and I found Japanese web pages to convert it to a new Kato coreless motor, but I skipped right to the gearhead.

The printer is a Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra. Those cylinders are at 0.02mm layers, but like 99% of everything I do is 0.05mm layers.
