5 Axle C-Liner. The only one on the market EVER was that old late 60s Atlas/RR model. Roughly half the C-Liners were 5-axle. Can someone please make a new tooling for it? New Haven, NYC, and LIRR fans would be very happy with that I'm sure.

A ScaleTrains DD40AX would be awesome in N scale. They would go nicely with their Fast Forty UP SD40-2s.

I'm not speaking out of school here... Shane and I had a serious discussion about the UP doubles at his "road show" stop in St. Louis several months ago. We were wringing our hands about a production miscalculation with the "standard" turbine that prevented deploying the chassis under a Veranda or a U50. Those would require a wheels-on-up frame redesign, so it was a regrettable missed product opportunity.

We were joking around about the C855/C855B, but then he expressed serious interest in the DD35/DDA35. "UP monster power sells," he said. I then kidded with him about the GP30 and GP30B pre-production models that were being shown at that meet, "You already have the underpinnings of a GP35 for the demonstrator set." [GP35-DD35-DD35-GP35)] He didn't flinch.

Obviously a DDA40X would be a natural follow-on.

Am I far off the mark?  Anyone who buys the big boy, challenger both turbines are almost certainly going to purchase any or all of the large UP locomotives. U50 & DD variants. If they can sell enough of their current offerings the new models would as well.

Not me.  My layout era stops on Dec 31 1956, which excludes the 3-unit GTEL Superturbine, Whirlybirds, Centennials...and any other super-huge diesel engines UP developed after the end of 1956 as well as any other not-huge diesel power used after that date.

I'm probably the exception however as far as my strict cut-off era date, but, I would really love it if Scale Trains decided to produce a Veranda Turbine, or rivet-counter versions of various road-specific GP7's/GP9's including a GP9 Booster unit, or if BLI decided to produce a 5000 Class UP TTT, or if Kato decided to make a simple FEF2 pilot that would replace and snap on to their FEF3's pilot, or if Kato decided to produce an unskirted GS4, or if Kato decided to produce an in-service version of their FEF3 without a Worthington Feedwater Heater and a proper 1940's/50's oil bunker and with or without smoke lifters for a proper and accurate two-tone-grey version, or if Kato would produce a Big Boy model rather than a 4014 model, with in-service 1940's/50's coal tender, ash pans, correct boiler cladding with and without aftercooler piping on the pilot.

Well I own both a Kato and Athearn Big Boy, Athearn Challenger, Kato Northern, ST Big Blow, and 2 Bachmann and 1 OMI DD40AXs. I was tempted for a #57 Standard Turbine, but never bit. I would definitely replace my Bachmann pair for an ST offering, and same if Kato ever offered a Challenger version.

I might me intrigued by a SP DD35 though as well.

I got one of their FL9s in one of their christmas Mystery boxes a few years ago.
I had planned on selling it, because I don't typically model east coast railroads, But then I ran the thing, and fell in love with it. the one I got didn't have a decoder, so I had to install one. IIRC, I just put a LokPilot in it. I ended up buying a few cars to go with it, and Modeled NH train 83.

Kato/Con Cor’s Great Northern 4-8-4 was impressive locomotive as I remember. One of the oldest locomotive I have, smooth runner.

Definitely an SW1500. The MTL based on the LL mechanism with those junk power pick-ups on the sill just doesn't cut it.

Athearn F45 & FP45, but not by Athearn as it appears they are getting out of  NScale based on their website future offerings. Scale Trains would be great in my opinion.
