Slowly rebuilding my layout into the Maryland Midland. MBKlein had a special run GP38’s done with the assistance of @Ed Kapuscinski when he worked there. MMID had 5:of these on the roster. The models were numbered 300,301,302. Since I have multiples of 301 and 302, will renumber two of them Time to find some decals
They actually had 7, 300-306. Guy that I work with at Mainline gave me decals he used when he custom painted a bunch of HO models. He just used MicroScale alphabet sheets in orange and blue. 90107 Railroad Gothic Blue, 90120 Railroad Gothic Orange. Not sure they'll match the Atlas colors though, I always thought they were a little off.
My museum train tank cars are now wearing black paint. Due to the shortage of time prior to this weekend's Victoria Train Show, my friend Philippe offered to paint them for me. I supplied Tamiya XF1 black paint and Micro Gloss, and Philippe also provided custom decals for them. Here they are after the black paint and gloss coat:I was able to start the decaling process this week and got all the end lettering applied, but will have to wait for more time to apply the side panels and lettering:I will install the trucks and display these with the rest of the museum train this weekend.Tim
Thank you; looking forward to getting the side panels on which wont be easy. The PGE Budd RDC cars look good; which paint did you use for the silver?Tim
Running trains on the Free-MoN layout at the Altoona N Scale Weekend this weekend. @samusi01 was able to make it out and we have been testing running his 20 axle heavy duty flat that is still in development. Come check it out if you're here! Here's a shot of it going across my Bernal, NM module
