I ordered a couple.  One for EL and the other for the Interstate.  Interstate got a pair from the DL&W in 1954.

I ordered one and it arrived in the mail yesterday (thanks for the quick turn!) I might even open the box sometime this year...  :D

Seriously though, I could justify two more.  If I can free up some funds soon, and these remain available, I'll reorder.

Now, of someone would just buy that Rapido Turbo Train I've been trying to sell for two years...

Mine arrived today, can't wait to put a fresh #11 blade in the knife and pull the trigger.
I haven't had car project to get excited about for awhile.
A big thanks, Bryan!!!

The kits have sold out.  It may be reissued sometime in 2026 if consumer demand warrants a second run.

Congrats, Bryan.

Have you thought about making kits for B&O I-1 and I-5 cabooses?  Similar to this kit, but distinctive.  I would expect them to sell well.

I would consider it I thought someone already had released such a kit in N?

ACL M5 will be next next ESM caboose kit. Probably 1st quarter 2026.

I'd love to see that NH NE Class caboose I believe you've already printed in 3D.

Isn’t that the prototype for the Arnold Rapido wood caboose?

I'd love to see that NH NE Class caboose I believe you've already printed in 3D.

I designed the NE to print via Shapeways eons ago, and it was the wreck train version. The digital file would require a significant rework to get it to the point where it could be a commercially available kit representing the revenue version. I printed the body and floor, with everything else fabricated from wire and detail parts.

The pictures of Arnold Rapido wooden cabeese that I know about look like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/267260255548

which is nothing like this: http://www.springmillsdepot.com/i-5details.htm

Note that Spring Mills Depot version is HO scale, and is EXTREMELY late for delivery (decade), but still has a lot of B&O fans longing for it.

There is also an I-1 that was printed in N scale and sold to a few TRW members a few years back.  That is similar to the I-5, but has wooden end walls instead of steel end walls.  Some early I-1 versions even had passenger style platform steps.

There are really good books available on both, so the research is pretty much done.

I think the short version is that railroads all had distinctive cabeese and there's a limited market for most of them. At least the "iconic" caboose for each Class 1. One caboose a year can keep Brian busy for a very long time.

Wow that was quick. Happy I jumped on getting mine. If you don’t want to/can’t disclose the info I understand but I’m curious how many of these cabooses you produced. Also any chance there will ever be a rerun of the Keyser Valley caboose?
