good job on the model, but i must admit that thing looks kinda silly.

Part of its charm, I guess? I can't recall anything similar on another railroad.

The PRR X42 is similar, though perhaps proportionally more satisfactory.

Has to be 10 years since I posted a photo of one of my W.I.P. NKP RS3 with wire handrails installed.  That's where the project stalled due to work life changes and some modeling technical challenges I couldn't quite overcome.  Number boards, class lights, a way to mount both, and decent end platform iron work were at the top of the model challenge list.  541 and 554 are at probably the 80% done point today and, THEY WILL BE FINISHED daggumit.  Soon.

Me, right now:
List too long to type,
Look at list in head.
Look at projects in random places in house.
Get overwhelmed.
Ignores projects.
Mentally erase list.
Starts Trainz 2022 and plays with digital trains.
(or Cyberpunk 2077)

Though I did just put a TSU-KN1 in an F40PH tonight... so... theres that I guess...
Also need to tinker with JMRI.... with MRC products... and a Raildriver since that's apparently a thing... maybe bug @peteski about how he would install a "modern" FPV camera in a N scale locomotive. *cough* P42 *cough*

Actually that is a project I am already considering and even bought some equipment (camera and receiver).
It will have to be a dummy loco (not room for a powered chassis and the camera I have (bought few years ago).  Unfortunately the wide angle lens of that FPV cameras is fairly large, so it it can't be hidden like the train cameras I have installed in the past.

The only thing I need is to complete dozens of other projects which seems like it will take me years. I have too many ideas and new, more urgent projects that always seem to pop up when I think I'm catching up.

If I could just lay down a layer of ground cover (nevermind the trees) on this shelf section, I could eliminate the last bare area on the layout.  Hell, it’s even already ballasted, and you know how I feel about ballasting.

It took a while, but I did a thing, once I finally bought some ground foam to start the base layer of scenery on the last bare section on the layout.  Was doing great until I ran out of white glue.  Oh, well, it’s a start, and sometimes that's the hardest part.

Going to a train show is good way to get off the butt. I am working on it since 10 years, not always very applied, and some years not working at all. But I patched it now together, the Indianapolis Traction Terminal in HO scale. To be presented in Munich (Germany), June 13-14.
