I feel so directly called out by this post, I’m switching back from lurking to posting.  Hope you don’t mind a bit of a 1:29th invasion.

I need to finish detailing and sound-converting this fan favorite F7, which was supposed to be done back in December!




Oh, and the project before it has decoder issues with the Blunami decoder, so it’s back in the shop too!





After that… I dunno, I have maybe 20 projects sitting in boxes, awaiting their turn?  So it goes with secondhand stuff in a less common scale!

I should probably make some headway on the layout. No real reason a 2x4 should be barren after 5 months.

Despite starting a thread to keep me honest on my 2nd WM Potomac build, I started a Russian Decapod. I thought the decapod would be a quick project... Oops. At any rate, summer hours start in a few weeks and I plan to plow ahead starting in June.

If I could just lay down a layer of ground cover (nevermind the trees) on this shelf section, I could eliminate the last bare area on the layout.  Hell, it’s even already ballasted, and you know how I feel about ballasting.

This is both my photo diorama and get off my butt project so far:




My daughter and son-in-law recently remodeled their basement and I got several 3’ lengths of cedar shelving. I wanted something I could take outdoors for photos. I also want to practice some new scenery techniques.

Finally hooked up the led lights for my Southern B23-7.  Put a loksound 58823 and speaker in May last year (after taking inspiration from @Steveruger45 install) and only just got around to wiring up the lights today.  This is my first full hardwire sound and LED install with resistors.

Led lighting has to be my least favourite part of the install.  But after getting some SMD resistors and practising putting LEDs in a lifelike GP18 with a lokpilot, I thought I should get off my butt and finally do it.

Right now it's hard to string together 2 minutes of train time.

I think this is a great idea, awesome to see what others are working on. I consider the "never finishing a project" as kind of a requirement to be a model railroader and as such I have a laundry list of things I need to finish.
Trying to prioritize them is another issue entirely.
I think to start with;

Weathering
-IDRX 384 SD38-2 for my freelance (also needs to be patched) ho
- x2 SD40-2 BN units as delivered ho
- x3 LMX Dash 8-40B units n
- x2 trueline trains slabside hoppers for a customer ho
Painting
-finish painting and decaling IDRX 2600 ho
-Dash 8-40B into minnesota commercial n
-SD9 for a friends freelance n ?(done)

I have some details to add to my Free-Mo modules and I also have to finish my T-Trak module. (T-Trak is done)
Once the T-Trak is complete I  want to build a relatively portable shelf layout in N scale. (building a 15inch by 63 inch free-mo module in N scale)

A real laundry list, hopefully this helps to motivate me to complete some projects.

Ha!  I actually got motivated to apply the ground cover last weekend, only to find I’m almost out of Woodland Scenics Green Blend ground foam.  So, nope, still looks exactly like that photo. 🤣

I finally have a contribution to this thread!

I've felt stalled for the past month or so. I have a couple of intimidating projects on the workbench at the moment, and every time I look at them I just go "oh hey, look at that Xbox...".

Well, I decided to do something simple to prime the pump. I pulled out a couple of @Rasputen 's finest and got to work. Here's the first one off the bench, an AMC Matador Coupe. I had thought about doing it in a more eye catching color but saved that for the Bronco (that's almost done). Instead I went with black because the photos I found of a black one just looked bad a$$.

It's not perfect but it'll look good in downtown York or here, chasing something on the NC.
