Finally getting around to fixing up my Bernal, NM Free-moN module. It had a small incident after the Amherst train show in January which required some repairs after some moderate damage to the module. New signals have been installed, the code line has been replaced and scenery touched up. I just need to re-add some trees to the module and it'll be ready for Ohio N Scale Weekend next month.

Added another scrap load to Atlas Coalveyor tonight.  One of the few loaded cars that head west on the CSX Hanover Subdivision as most of the traffic from Hanover to Hagerstown are empties.

Printed the axle frame for the coal loader, and attached it to the conveyor. Posed the assembly on the layout over the barge and I really like it. After paint I will add coal int the chute, on the belt and emptying into the barge. The other two will be yard equipment fodder.

I have a few more shovels to build, and one of them will be for the coal loading.

It’s been a productive couple of weeks.

On Friday I had the pleasure of operating on @jparry excellent layout with @shark_jj.

And I’ve been spinning conifers. A lot of them. Need to populate my rainforest.

I have over 500 now. They are in bags of 50-120 ft tall armatures.

I need WAY more, but I’m going to stop spinning now and move on to combing, trimming and covering the wire trunks. Here’s some 90’ers combed and trimmed.

I finished up all three flats that I've been working on for my 1947 RBBB circus train including putting simulated canvas rolls (kleenex soaked in 50/50 water/white glue) in the two canvas trucks.

Nope. I figure I can finish what I need to with 1000 of these, in addition to some larger ones that I started using skewers/dowels, and the Tree Wizard’s floral wire wrap method. Those will be the 150-200’ers. And then I have 100’s of other good filler trees from Amazon and other places I’ve collected over the years.

And I’m not even in the deciduous trees yet…..

Glad I finally got started though as this has been a major stopping point.

Oh I’ve also done several big ziploc bags of ground up floral moss for ferns, dried leaves for the forest floor, and picked up loads of little sticks in my yard that will make great dead fall, rotting logs, nurse logs etc. in the under story. I’m planning to model all layers of the forest on these three modules.

Craig.

Benchwork for my NKP layout is in!
Here's the view from the doorway.
Ft. Wayne is to the right.  New Haven and the Wabash interchange are over the workbench.

East Wayne yard goes yere.

Ft. Wayne is loop by by the doorway.

Next step is roughing in the backdrop (probably Masonite).

Working on the interior for a saloon / boarding house.  First floor is the bar and billiards.

Have not posted in a while.

I rebuilt another Western Maryland Shay and added sound.
It's taken me about 50 hours to get to this point.

Will be moving to painting soon hopefully.

For accuracy, you might want to have just three tables and give them a little more air. "A friend" advised me about that.

Since when did you start modeling in O scale? Stunning work. Impressive!
