Stripping paint off cars. Kato is difficult

Does anyone have a good way of stripping paint off of Kato passenger cars? These surfliner shells have been soaking in 99% alcohol for several days and I still can't get the paint off.

I have had the best results using a soft Nylon wheel brush in a Dremel after soaking.

Laquer thinner worked on the Kato containers, didn't melt the plastic.

and make sure you use it while submerged or you find out the hard way hahah

Hmm. What If you don't have one of those. Will 99% alcohol work if it's soaked in there long enough? Even a week?

I have used 91% IPA, seems to work better than 99%. A ultrasonic cleaner helps as well.

I would be very cautious with this, especially is immersing the entire shell!
There are multiple formulations of lacquer thinner (from different manufactures). Personally I would never try this.  If anything, try applying some lacquer thinner on the inside of the plastic shell to see if it affects the ABS plastic Kato uses.

HMMMM I have one of those in the garage for gun parts. never even thought about giving that a try.. I have a kato U boat thats being stubborn. I may just sink it in there for a while.

Are the Surfliners UV printed?  That's much harder to remove... although Keith masked a C&NW bilevel in order to weather the roof and the tape pulled off the yellow UV printing in one sheet.  So maybe a high-tack solution?

Is this the CNW one with the bird on the side ? I thinks it's the shell. I have stripped hundreds of Kato shells, never had a problem but my CNW shell turned out the same way

And the paint is still stuck on it pretty well, apparently.

I can see a bird on the side and what I believe to be "Falcon Service" underneath the bird.
