First piece of new benchwork for CSX Hanover Sub 3.0.  This area will be Glyndon/Emory Grove.  Will be dead end here, potentially curving to the right with a lift out in front of the door, serving as a destination for the CSX Rock Runner.

Installed the attachment threaded rods to the flat that will go through the bench work and get nuts under the layout for installation and removal. The LEDs will have micro connectors to their power source.

Finished the windows lighting and structure behind this kitbash.

I decided to have some late night management meeting in the upper corner office conference room. At the same time I piped using 1.5mm fiber optic down to the lobby below, hiding the FO in the floor to consume light from the LED directly above it. It was semi-successful, placing a dull glow in the lobby. Fortunately, this was just an experiment as the lobby is hidden by the stone berm wall in its final location, but the conference will occur several feet above the railhead on the berm wall.

Here, the bosses are arguing the profits vs investor ROI, lol.

The curves on the chalkboard tell the story…

Looks like they had good reason to argue. One of them lost the shirt right off his back!

The only problem I see with this meeting is that management never works at night.

Continuing with my locomotive fleet upgrade started last week: the repaint of my Trainmaster to short hood forward orientation is proceeding well, but I’m getting sucked into a bunch of detail upgrades I wasn’t anticipating - I need to replace the ‘moonglow’ headlights with twin sealed beam headlights, add a prominent brake wheel on the ‘front porch’, a bell at the top of the short hood, and a winterization hatch, plus other upgrades to be decided upon.
Also had to put in an effort to add a decoder to the last of my Intermountain F units - turned out one of the wires to the motor was contacting the frame and it took me some time to troubleshoot this. Once I had that figured out and operating on ‘as delivered’ address 3 I readdressed it to road number 1912, but the throttle wouldn’t recognize this address. So back to address 3, which worked, - back to 1912, which didn’t work. After staring at the infernal machine for a while and questioning my skillset, I took a chance on trying address 1913 and it was properly recognized by the throttle. So I tried 1912 again - no love, so back to 1913 permanently. Unless someone has a suggestion on why 1912 doesn’t seem to work, I’ll be breaking out the decals and changing the last digit tomorrow.
I’m also working an A/B set of F units for my 2 1/2 year old grandson for his Brio setup (or knock-off Brio - who can afford the real thing). The bodies are carved from a chunk of 2x4, and painted in classic CP maroon and grey from Rustoleum rattle cans (surprisingly close to the right colours) The ‘trucks’ were scavenged from a on line purchase, and HO Canadian Pacific decals are on hand. They look pretty good, and best of all - no f#@$ing decoders.

Update: Operator error - turns out I have 2 1912’s, with first 1912 ‘subdominant’ in another consist. So 1913 it is.

Gosh. All you have to do is paint that plywood a concrete color and your scene is 95% there!

Work continues at the Wilson Street T Trak module.

I quite like it how the ballast has turned out.

Fun with colored pencils!  I had picked up this shed awhile ago at a flea market.  It was painted a sort of off white/sand color.  I gave it a wash of grime and then "colored" it with blue pencil.  I like the results.  I think I'll keep it this way. Now to add details.
