This is GREAT NEWS!!!..

So, all of Red Caboose and Fox Valley stuff is now under the umbrella of Scale Trains.

... I wonder if they also got the FVM S Scale track to pair with the MTH S Scale stuff?

Scale Trains is quickly becoming a multi-scale powerhouse..

That a game changer, so many question.
Hopefully we will see updated Red Caboose tooling like the centerbeams that FVM has.
Also are they going to fix the big omission on the CSX GEVOs, the third dynamic brake vent.
They should try and  get Exacrais N tooling next.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

Don't the ES44's use a single LED for the front headlight and ditch lights, similar to Kato? I wonder how much re-tooling was done, as they state that the models also have sound, cab interiors, and I can't see ScaleTrains releasing a model in 2022 with a single LED for all 3 front lights.

Edit: Just saw this on the FVM website

Introducing Scale America
ScaleTrains will be handling production of the original Fox Valley Line. We are keeping the former Red Caboose and Deluxe lines, and will be consolidating it with the Des Plaines Hobbies line of goods. This includes N & HO Parts, Centralia Car Shops, S Scale America and O Scale America. Watch for more info later this year about Scale America.

My  :(  for this comes from their sales model.  Don't care for their select retailer network.  My LHS inquired carrying the line when they first came on the scene, and the economics of carrying them ( I'm don't recall the exact numbers etc ) results in very little margin for the shop.  Just the way it works out, seems not to support the brick and mortar shops.  I find it peculiar that the price thru their website direct is the same as the retailer network.  A little while back, they blew out their n scale container inventory at ridiculous low prices, leaving the retailer network holding the bag on their inventory at full price.   Just some business decisions that personally didn't sit well with me and I choose to spend my money elsewhere.  I feel the same way about ExactRail.  Haven't bought anything from them since they went direct sales after using their retailers to get their name and product out there only to yank it all away.

I didn’t see this shared yet, and there was some discussion in the SD40-2 thread about this, but it’s official that the FVM products have followed Matt to ScaleTrains

https://www.scaletrains.com/fox-valley-models?fbclid=IwAR3FyDi6U-E94DFVI9gpQz4l7pmdZayJZrXSICtc32LItWvjPGCS_xuw3dQ&fs=e&s=cl

I wonder if this will open Scaletrains to doing more N scale locos, as this will bring them a 4 axle chassis design (the GP60’s). I know I’d love to get a Norfolk Southern GP50 for fun after my memories shooting them down in Aiken.

While it is good to have the FVM stuff back in the pipeline I hope they don't add their super duper ST modern engineering feats like direct wired trucks and the crappy large size couplers to the FVM stuff.  My FVM stuff is some of the best running stuff I have that is easy to work on but I may be hoping for too much.  I guess time will tell.

Yeup, didn’t see that thread when I posted  :ashat: I figured since there were two product announcements along with it the discussion would be here; @peteski any chance we could merge the threads?

Yes especially since I started the other thread in the wrong forum.
