Good to know!

I looked up my Dec 1997 MR. The article is actually a product review of the HO Union Station Indian car sides.  So no plans, but it did mention that there is a drawing in the plan booklet MR published for Santa Fe back in 1948 or so, which I have. So I at least have drawings for one side.  I assume the other side is identical?  Once I finish my Empire Builder project I could probably add this to my 3D project list.

I’d get a couple.

They were regulars on the “Texas Chief”.

The original topic seemed to be asking about any ATSF items, so I'd go with this.

Those gondolas look like ATSF to me, so by all means.  I don't know much about them, given that the various "corrugated" gons only appeared (as far as I know) at the tail end of my own modeling period (cut off date late summer 1956).  That particular type (the Ga-96) was in service for a long time and "converted" from drop bottom to solid bottom, but I think the conversion did not amount to much beyond welding the drop doors closed and removing some of the drop mechanism- so from a manufacturer's point of view, the car could wear several different SF paint schemes, (plus BNSF?).

And speaking of gondolas....I was renewing my SFRHMS membership and saw that they have several of the SF reference books on sale at big discounts, including the gondola/hopper book and head end car book and several others.  I don't think you need to be a member to get at least most of the savings.

I'd take quite a few SD39s and a couple GP7Bs as well

Agree with all the great ideas that everyone has listed.

While it's possible to make "one":

https://pbase.com/atsf_arizona/n_scale_rsd15&page=all

There's no question that making "more than one"..... typically languishes on the "forever to-do list".   The above projects would not have happened without the help of others here on TheRailWire.

While I'm not holding my breath.....  someday maybe I hope we will see some of the great ideas on this list be manufactured, so that we can "build the fleet".  :)

I wholeheartedly recommend https://atsfnscalemodels.com/   - Dirk's ATSF offerings for us Santa Fe modelers is really high quality.

Maybe before I die.... we will see the Santa Fe 4-8-4 Northern in high detail?     Here's to hoping....

John, ouch, don’t get too morbid on us; I’m sure that big northern is coming. Right?
I’m patiently waiting, too...

I'm not an ATSF modeler but I'd buy one of these.

I would buy a several.  Also the 50' FE cars with similar raised roofs. Kits would be fine.

Me neither, but I'd buy one for my small late 1950s fleet.

Honestly I just want improved SD75Ms (with sound since the last one I installed fried itself) and FVM to re-release the GP60M/Bs...
Id love some CF7s as well but I really want a GP7u.
I could keep going so here's a list.

Improved 75Ms
60M/Bs
CF7
GP7u
CE-6 - 11 Cabooses. Atlas is wrong. they are supposed to be center cupolas
really anything post 1985 when the Santa Fe rebuilt 90% of their existing fleet (this means ditch lights as well)
Late Northerns, so 2900 class up to 3751. (I swear if I see another "but bachmann..." )
Need more 62' beer cars... we miss you BLMA.

I know people made the first two... but it has been a while...
