Added roads to Elmhurst and added trees to hide the lone turn-back curve on the layout. More information at genevasub.blogspot.comCertainly has the feel of Elmhurst. Too bad Al's Hobby Shop is gone. I bought a lot of my early N and Z stuff there. As a young kid I bought some HO at Sukup's Hardware and ate too much cholate and pecan covered toffee from Keelin's.
Doug, your ballast is pretty cool, too. What did you use?Otto K.
A busy month, but no actual modeling. I attended the Railway Modellers Meet of BC (http://www.railwaymodellersmeetofbc.ca/ and met many folk from TRW and had an operating session on @GaryHinshaw fantastic Tehachapi BC. I also managed a trip to the interior and a visit to the Thompson and Fraser canyons for inspiration. Here is a shot of the south bridge over the Fraser at Lytton.2018-05-04 13.18.46 by Scott L, on FlickrI spent much of the remainder of May in a field camp, while my new Scale Trains T4 units sat unused, but today I found time to rev them up and they did not disappoint. They operate smoothly and the detail makes the rest of my fleet look rather plain. I'm hoping for a fourth unit so I can run two trains dedicated with these, as the sound units don't seem to play well with my other locomotives. 2018-06-02 14.59.50 by Scott L, on Flickr
Okay Lenart, who is she... Otto K.
I’m making progress on several fronts right now. With a little luck the big Schnabel should be ready for paint tomorrow. I’ve got my next SW1500 ready for primer. I’ve also made some UB boxcar progress and I’m ready to prime my Airstream as well as my MOW truck. Life is good. (Attachment Link)
