Am I the only one who finds Josh's sketch simultaneously very good and also very upsetting?  (There is something emotional about it, which is a sign of good art!)

It shows some Picasso-like style. It might become quite valuable  (posthumously).   ;)

I'm happy that it depicts me having a very large cranium.  :D
And is that a voluptuous naked female to the left of my head?   :o

The “Royal Oak” is a plan 3979 8-1-2 Pullman. KV Models sides on an MTL core with Keystone Details Ice AC frame and Pullman 242a trucks.  Custom built interior.  I am really digging these Pullman sleepers.

That Rapido Reefer is the source of Pete’s grief. I mean LOOK at that board spacing!
That is actually a hankey to dry his tears to the left of the face.

That just goes to show you how much of a fine-art critic I am (not).
Yes, I was very passionate about that cause. After all, how could such a blunder be made in the a model designed in the 2nd decade of the 21st Century?!  :D

I’m making progress on several fronts right now. With a little luck the big Schnabel should be ready for paint tomorrow.
I’ve got my next SW1500 ready for primer. I’ve also made some UB boxcar progress and I’m ready to prime my Airstream as well as my MOW truck. Life is good.

A little over 25 minutes from my place but unfortunately no longer operating as Simpson recently sold the mill and surrounding forest land to Sierra Pacific Industries.
The mill was dismantled, auctioned and a new, smaller, more efficient mill is in it's place, sans Railroad.
My Summer home is also just a 1/2 hour boat ride from the water side.

Crying Peteski
colored pencil on paper

After years of ripping many a model a new a-hole, the model railroad manufactures finally get their revenge and a crying peteski is forced to kiss their a$$.  :P

And since all art is sexual, the "69"on the nose represents the yin/yang and inverse love/hate relationship with model railroading.   ;)

And about 45 minutes from me. There is some Hope for preservation. A group formed "Peninsular Railway and Lumbermen's Museum." So far, they have been able to work a deal with Sierra Pacific Industries to donate Simpson RR rolling stock. They ended up with three speeders, a caboose, a railroad crane, a ballast regulator, a dump car. a SW900, The "City of Elma," and a SW1200 the "City of Shelton."
