Cool!  The drivers and side rods scream "Bachmann" while the trailing truck has a telltale look of the FVM Hiawatha loco.  :D

Some Bachmann doodlebugs and trailer cars:

This is the original version of the Bachpersonn doodlebug.  The trailer coach is a painted MP corrugated shorty.  It is strictly foobalicious, but its size fits with the doodlebug.

This is the weeknight mail run on my non-historic Short Creek and Nopedale railroad.  In many cases, the trailer car that a doodlebug pulled was a head end car.  The SC&N depends heavily on mail and express for revenue.  It is the MT baggage/mail.

This is the some time trailer car on weekends that the SC&N doodlebug pulls.  It is a MP corrugated shorty observation.

While there are few who are more positively delighted than am I to have a four axle standard coach in N scale, still, I always did wonder why B-mann did not butt together two coach ends of the doodlebug to make a trailer coach.  I put mine onto a chassis from a MP corrugated shorty coach.  I made a boxcab diesel out of the front pieces.  Sadly, some [posterior] clown dropped it and shattered the shell.  A different clown dropped the trailer coach, but, I did manage to get it back together.

The apparent bow that some of these have is due to my taking the photographs with a cheapie  android telephone.

Wutter, that station is really nice.  Philip, you and I must be thinking alike. I'm doing a doodlebug project too. An undec I got from BLW for $25 last year I think. Painted body Testor's Dark Red, and silver for the roof. Removed stock LED, and installed a new one from Richmond Control, with diode and cap already installed. Plan to piant trucks silver, and maybe the undercar mech. stuff. Want to ad yellow chevron to small front area under windows. Will also tuck some tungsten weights on floor, between seats, for a bit more weight on rear truck to ensure good pickup. It will be lettered for Shepaug, Litchfield & Northern. Working on decal artwork, ready to print soon.

DKS - Nice work, love your new web site and the update on how well you are doing. SD&AE site is back and I'm working on that while armcharing until we get a house at the end of this Summer. I want to finally build a real SD&AE layout and thanks for the contributions you made to the layout and page 2010-12.

For me last weekend, was my return to modeling MY STUFF  :D

Here are the two latest additions to the  GGX Heavy Duty Flatcar fleet...
Both cars started as Atlas (very old) Depressed Center Flatcars.

GGX 70, got end extensions and Buckeye-type trucks.  While, GGX 72 got new bolsters and new end platforms (made from styrene).
