I got the email at 3:02 Pacific time. 2 minutes late, but great news for N scalers. I will have to think about the TurboTrain. I used to ride to college, but it would be a stretch. Cool train though. The NH 8600 coaches are awesome. I have been drooling over the HO versions for a while. I also rode in those cars including my first, and most memorable, trip home on a Columbus Day weekend when every other college student in New England had the same idea. The train was so crowded I only made it into the vestibule, but the beautiful fall afternoon was spectacular from the open dutch door. Others were passing around a joint and when the conductor squeezed through the crowd in the vestibule, he was offered and accepted a toke (this was 1974). He never collected my ticket either. When the train arrived in New Haven they added some NH 8600 coaches and I enjoyed the rest of the trip in the lounge (smoking?) section of an 8600 coach.
