Doesn't NARC and IM already do the variants of the cylindrical hopper in n already?  Not wanting to discourage further n cars, but that one seems mostly covered.

Seriously, it's like saying the 33,000gal tank cars is already available, so why do a 25,000gal? Because they are different. I think, before the end of this decade, you will see a 3800cuft cylindrical covered hopper in N scale. Not because it's sort of the same, but because it is shorter.

I'm not ruling out the parlor (no "u") car.

The HO parlor sales were 75% of the coach sales, which made them worthwhile to do.

If the N coach sales are anywhere near the HO coach sales, we can do the parlor (no "u") in N.

The extended deadline these days usually has less to do with order volume and more to do with factory capacity.

Right now, including the two HO order deadlines this weekend, both are factories have enough work to take them to May or June.

We thought that we would have more capacity by now but our expansion is going slower than we hoped. The new LRC factory is going from leaps to bounds, but the old Rapido factory is having issues. We moved to what we thought was a better location and the area has been hit with a labour shortage. So they have a big space but not enough workers to fill it.

We're now getting creative in our help wanted ads. They asked me to design one!

Ability to distinguish gold from imitation gold from dulux gold at 500 scale yards.
Diplomatic phone skills necessary to explain to N scale modelers why the boss isn't making latest HO scale model in N scale.
Even more diplomatic phone skills necessary to explain to HO modelers why N scale is getting a new Turbo and they are stuck with an old one.

Cute. It would be good for North American-based position, but I think they are looking for Chinese workers for the Chinese factory. This sounds way too cutesy for that task.

BTW, finally got hold of some Proto Paint.  Good paint.  With a Paasche VL, works better if you remove that bit of tube on the front that they call a "needle cap."  And does tend to dry a little too quickly, but I am sure I can figure that out.  But color match of the CN Green #11 is right on (to my eye, anyway), and I also tried Box Car Red #4- although I have no idea what railroad it was intended to match, I'm using it on some Rock Island cars I am working on.
