I finished-up installing LokSound decoders and Sugarcube speakers in a pair of Kato SD70ACe's last night. I had previously detailed these with wire grab irons and details offered by Trainworx specifically for the SD70ACe. I'll post in-progress photos and info in the DCC / Electronics section soon.

Finally finished the main mill building.  Now to start work on the other outlying buildings.

I had something executed with some meaningfulness and class in mind. I would think viewing the a$$ of the one in the blue tank top would be more like an act of terrorism than high art.

Lookin at that image of your ACE, just observed that was the same scene in 100th NSRR rag... but your trackwork color really looks better on my iPhone and PC... not sure why he let that go  ...but hey, nice work!

Since we sold our home of 37 years a year ago and sold my SFRSD that was 24 years young I have done almost nothing to get me back into modeling or building a layout. I will get to build a new layout however that will have to be a "L shaped" affair in our yet to be finished new house probably next year. So whilst waiting I have started to weather some rolling stock and FVM metal wheels ready for the new road something based on the Missouri Pacific of which I know absolutely nothing except UP took them over. I have been gathering a few pieces of MKT, Rock Island, MP and Union Pacific rolling stock and a couple of Locos.
Not much room to model however my gracious wife has allowed me to do some modeling at the end of the kitchen table.

I'm painting the wheel ends using Tamiya Red Brown which for me looks about right, and for the cars using oils, acrylic paints along with Pan Pastels and of course good old Dullcote to seal the weathering.
Getting back into the swing is very therapeutic.

This is my first attempt at weathering using acrylic craft paints, so any comments are welcome.  I know that a lot of details need to be added to make the scene complete.
