Shane, thank you very much for sharing all of that very candid info.  I really appreciate any manufacturer who is willing to dip into the high-end N scale market and I'm sure we all wish you great success.  I'm also very glad to hear that you were in touch with Craig regarding the Trinity tankers - that saved everyone some grief.

And since I have your attention: a non-Gunderson 53' well car please!  (Unless Matt@FVM has that covered.)  I would buy nearly as many of those as I have of your containers.

You're welcome Gary.  Thanks for the well wishes too.  We're working-on an intermodal project for late 2018/2019 that has not been offered in HO or N scale .

Having met Shane at train shows on several occasions I can attest to his industry experience and, most importantly, to his passion for N scale.  While I am a Milwaukee Road modeler, I enjoy running my UP Big Blow and marvel at its detail.

I plead guilty to not placing a carbon Black preorder but will rectify that in a few minutes.  I have seen these at the Firestone tire plant in Decatur, Illinois and find them interesting.

I also appreciate that Shane took the initiative to post a positive reply to the musings of our forum.

I have seen the Scale Trains N scale UP turbine and HO tank cars in person and they are indeed very nice.

Now I am hoping for a N scale GEVO T4 announcement next month...

Definitely would be a good seller. If the manufacturers communicate, maybe make sure no one is doing the same or similar.
I think the unit train cars are a good idea since it encourages multiple purchases but when it's region specific, it limits the potential buyer market.

I was hoping BLMA might make this car in N, but since there is already an HO version, I doubt that Atlas would be interested.  I know it is specific to one railroad, but the cars have been around for more than 40 years in a number of different UP lettering schemes.

Ditto that request. Would love to see these offered. I also love how much information Tangent makes available so those without prototype familiarity can make informed decisions on what schemes to buy for which era and purposes.

Trainworx already makes that hopper, although there is base on the Rio Grande prototype.

The TW is incorrect for B&LE the one Tangent makes has a steeper slope sheet (the slope nearly extends to top of the car. These cars also we're owned by Cinchfield.

The Tangent car is a 3600 cu ft car, while the Trainworx quad is a 3,483 cu ft car. I don't know much about the slope sheet angles on these cars, but here's some info on the Trainworx car:

Bethlehem Steel introduced its first 100-ton quad hopper in 1963. Although based on the Norfolk & Western's H-11 triple hopper design, Bethlehem's 12-panel version was two feet longer with a capacity of 3,209 cubic feet.

In 1964, Bethlehem began producing a 3,483-cu.-ft. version which was 11'-7" high versus 11'-0" for the 3,209-cu.-ft. version. Over the next 19 years Bethlehem built 4,560 of these larger cars, and they became the most numerous of the builder's quad hoppers.

Buyers included the Denver & Rio Grande Western (2,795 cars); Chicago, Burlington & Quincy (1,300); Burlington Northern (200 built for the CB&Q); Chicago & North Western (165); and Great Northern (100).

Shane, if you're still here, I'm in for about eight if the initial run, but the one I desire most in the 80's Cabot car. That said, I'm not looking to pre-order, but rather I plan to buy from a retailer when they're released... unless I missed something. Not going to retail?
