Would this be large enough to build a dedicated plow (like a Russel)?

Speaking of plows, I would really like to see flanger blades to use on lifted Walthers Bay Window Cabooses:
http://conrailphotos.thecrhs.org/Images/CR-64717-Class-SF1A-at-Hinsdale-MA-on-12688
http://conrailphotos.thecrhs.org/Images/CR-64728-Class-SF1B-0
http://conrailphotos.thecrhs.org/Images/CR-64730-at-Cresson-PA
http://conrailphotos.thecrhs.org/Images/CR-64730-Class-SF1B

These are actually almost identical to the stock Walthers caboose with a few modifications:
Bay window area filled in (I used styrene)
Bolster and platform area raised to clear plows underneath body (I used styrene for that too)

I would love to see the blades available because I have had major issues trying to bend and build them myself.

This would make a very good conversion kit as well: New under frame with bolster/platform extensions. Poseable  flange blades. Bay window plugs.

No.

Can you share a link or pic of the Walthers model?

Are the Walthers roof and end frames removeable ? Since the body is so unique, it might be better to design a kit that uses the Walthers parts on an FXD shell and separate, possibly poseable blades ( do they only move up and down?)

Don't want to catch any flange guards or points...

Thank you spookshow.

I appreciate that, the prototype is too modern for me to identify as a model.

Likewise!!!
Might even build it!   Would be nice to have something to bring to the Burlington Route Historical Society Fall Meet this year!

Shapeways says it can't print it. @Lemosteam

Keep me posted on updates so I can order it when shapeways is happy.

Yeah, I apologize for that @CBQ Fan and @ncbqguy .  I will have to fix it on monday...

That is one thing I cannot stand about their processing.  One loads up a model- it comes back with a thumbs up, and then people start measuring it and instaed of putting the printing on hold, they outright cancel customer's orders and notify the designer.

It's really frustrating. wish they would review it befor i can offer it to the public.  Its kind of embarrassing and i sincerely apologize.

No need to apologize at all!!  I figure this is pretty common on new designs!  I agree with you on how they handle this situation. I figure a couple of tweaks and we will be good to go.  Don't feel bad about it!

@CBQ Fan and @ncbqguy

First, thanks for being understanding.  I really don't understand why those checks are not automated...Oh, well.

The Shapeways gave me a prelim that the file is now OK and is now available for ordering again.  Thank you both for being patient as i fixed the file.

Seriously thinking about getting one of these myself- I could easily justify it on my layout.
