Push Plow

Anyone know of a push plow you can buy that you would attach to a flat car, gon, or steam tender? These would be used to plow snow off tracks.

Shapeways?.. Only other thing I can think of is hacking one off another model Walters Russell Plow or a foreign model..

Similar idea. The Q had several with a more aggressive plow angel than that kit appears. I would think the plow would be a great shapeways product and mounting it to a car would be a fun little project.

There's a resin kit on ebay that could be a decent donor.

Or you could sacrifice a Walthers Russel plow like this guy did.

I have one of those Wabash Valley kits.  Spookshow is right - building your own car would be easier, and you'd get better results.

I junked everything except the plow casting.  It's mounted on a narrow gauge flatcar.

That artical is pretty interesting as are the adds. Not sure if I have seen a MR of that vintage!  Custom made from brass is a bit beyond my skill set and available time.  Would love to see someone make one though!

So that almost looks like a solid slab with the "wings" just rolled off.  Perhaps some appropriate Evergreen styrene for the slab and then some thin walled tube of the right diameter cut open?  I was thinking something like those really large diameter drinking straws  you get from a bubble tea place, or DQ?
