Kato Trainfest announcement! YAS!

After spending $110 or $190 for their locos (or whatever the "street" price turns out to be), does Kato really need to nick someone an additional $3 for the alternate numberboards? Can't Kato afford to include them in the box with the A-unit locos at no extra charge?

as opposed to the BLI loco (priced higher-'street' or otherwise)?...that may, or may not, actually work?
At least I KNOW that, when I take a Kato loco out of its box, place it on the track, and apply power, it will actually RUN...

Now that we are getting so close to these sets being available I'm trying to decide what to order. I'm modeling the train on the Chicago-Milwaukee leg of the journey. Which would be more appropriate? It's pretty flat territory. Would it be pulled by just an AB set or an ABA set?
