Wow they're. On fire with all these new car announcments hope we get them. How common were these compared to the Athearn prototypes? Love the 50' high cubes I see they announced more roadnames on those.

   these cars were also known as CH-41s,that was the length of the body,not
  the capacity.
   would guess that ACF built at least 50% of P-S's production of 2893 triples,
  but a roster would be nice to look over.
   Lackawanna/EL had a 4 bay version,maybe the only road to order 4 bays ?
  they were in Solvay service,maybe the reason for 4 bays and 3000 CUFT ?
  interesting choice of Prototypes.
  maybe they will follow it with the Greenville GV-2 and GV-3s eventually ?

I pre-ordered them ages ago... 

Some of my pre-ordered F3/F7 locos haven't been delivered yet either.

It is a bit saddening to see new announcements without them being delivered. (Ever?)

Day-um!!  Looks like they're in my transition era time period!!  I'll have to spring for some when they come out and if they're quality.  Way to go IMR!!

I don't know how they expect to gain preorders when nothing is ever delivered, to me this business model is seriously flawed Even if the car would sell well no one preorders due to figuring it'll either take a cosmic year to receive or will be cancelled due to lack of interest which is because many modelers gave up on them! I hope they turn things around and deliver some great stuff like what they're announcing.

I pre-ordered a CB&Q box car on August 1st, 2013, and two of the mentioned Tabor cars on June 6th, 2014 as well as two F7s in July and August of 2014.

Chinese Red CB&Q is listed for December, F7s for April...

Not trying to defend anything but it is what it is and has been Intermountain's Business model for years.
Agree completely that I would love everything to be produced quicker (including the Soo boxcars that are TBD and likely will be canceled  )

Well, as mentioned in the SD40-2 thread, the majority of the hold up with all locomotives announced in last 2-3 years has been this new universal decoder design.  Now with that finalized, the locomotive models should start coming out.  And unfortunately/fortunately depending on your take, they will probably come out fast and furious and our wallets will take quite a beating.

Javier:  I have three CB&Q red 40 ft boxcars reserved, from Dec 2013.  So far, they and some CP Rail boxes from June 2013 the only IM freight cars I have reserved that haven't either been cancelled or simply disappeared from the lists.  Even the other cars in those announcements are gone...

There's also the risk that they'll actually deliver a product with one or more mistakes that could have been prevented with a minimal amount of research.
