After all these years, what made you think that the Maryland Railwire crew would follow directions this time?
 :o

Tim

It's true...and I've only been here 2 years! For me, it was more about "who lives the closest and who has convenient access to pick up the train from where." It's working out so far, though. I'm meeting @DeltaBravo over at @Ed Kapuscinski's house for some bacon and the handoff.

Side note: Ed, can you have bacon ready for us?

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

I have too many ideas and not enough hands or time to do them all...  But my photo module is coming along.  Still looking forward to arrival after Thanksgiving Weekend for me, so if you want to squeeze in a couple extra stops before I get back, just don't tell Tim!

Let's plan to gather at Eric's the week after, I should be ready by Thursday or Friday.

By the way, I'm really glad I talked Mike into joining us here after SRO shut down.  He was a little hesitant at first, but he settled right in.

I'm also pretty jazzed to see so many elements from my old WM layout on so many of the layouts on the tour so far... from the Hard Hat, to the Westvaco warehouse, to the yard at Ed's.

I feel like the module I'm building is little more than an afterthought...  Mike must really be enjoying this somewhere up there...

I totally agree. I think he's really enjoying all of the modeling that this is spurring. It's a big reason I've been going so balls to the wall lately. I wanted to be ready to host.

I agree, too.  I've been working hard on projects that haven't been touched in months to try to make layout worthy of giving the respect that the M3T deserves in Puddy's honor.  My SAL station project is in high gear, and I just ordered materials from MBK to begin stringing line poles.  If successful, that, of course, means it will soon be time for the Second Coming of Kudzu Jesus.

I did quite a bit of scenery work in advance of the arrival, but now am somewhat burned out.  I have things I want to get finished, yet have no motivation to go downstairs.

I've not done anything special .  I will pose the train in front of presentable scenery, and maybe even some unfinished sections as well .. those with junk laying about from work in progress .. Many of Mike's pics were work in progress as well ..

Stringing pole lines?  Kudzu Jesus?  The gauntlet is thrown down!  Now I'll have to wire in that smoke unit so the N scale station agent can be enjoying some Prince Albert in a can!

Where's DKS when we really need him!!!?

Yeah, John's his own worst critic.  I love his layout, too.

Thanks for the kind words .. It's big, but not in the same league with the "great layouts" .. now back to Mike

@John

In your first photo post you attached the photos to the message and those look fine, but the next 3 posts have the photos linked from Google and those show up as the gray "do not enter" circles of doom.  :RUEffinKiddingMe:

The train has completed it's inspection of the Maryland and Ohio Railroad -- it's currently en-route to meet Superintendent Weldon and will be turned over to his able care this afternoon Dec 3, 2016
