Back in the day when I built spacecraft for a living, one of the projects I worked on was M3S, or Multi-Mission Modular System. So for me, I thought of M3T instead of 3MT.  Either way, I wanted a shorthand version for typing...

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Ok, if M3 = 3M, then solve for M.   :D

Ok, if M3 = 3M, then solve for M.   :D

m = +- sqrt(3) or m = 0  :D
Because why not...

Would the McGrattan Special be available November 26/27 or February 18/19?  Mississippi Valley N Scalers in St. Louis will have our N-Trak layout on display at the two St. Louis area Great Train Shows on those dates, and we would love to host the train for either event.

@C855B  - anyone else from MVNS on this forum that you know of?

Thanks - PM me or reply here.

Glenn pops in from time to time with a question, but that's it as far as I know.

Interesting idea. I will text you with a thought.

Justin:

The train has just landed in Maryland and there are quite a few modellers in the cue there and in neighbouring states, so November won't work.  I can't speak for February just yet.

That's OK, Tim. Justin and I had a conversation about club logistics, and eventually thought better of either date anyway. However, the next show after is March 19, so if it possible to have an opening in the queue for then, it would be great if we could swing it. It would be an honor.

Further to my post regarding a series of articles in N-Scale Magazine, I can now confirm that the first instalment will appear in the January-February 2017 with a brief article describing the train.  Subsequent instalments will cover various parts of the tour, so I will be in contact with you via email to obtain your choice of photograph at full resolution and your caption.

Meanwhile, the tour of Maryland continues . . .

Yes, I think it goes to Dave (DeltaBravo) and then me so I can pass it off to John who can get it to Sir Lee and The Foxx.

After all these years, what made you think that the Maryland Railwire crew would follow directions this time?
