Rumor has it that the long awaited Broadway Limited M1’s will clear Customs through Canada and will be on their way shortly to us.

Sigh .. no doubt the sand dome, or something, will be wrong. Everyone will blast BLI, someone will make a correct Shapeways part, everyone will be happy, someone will have an electrical issue, someone will tell us how to fix it, someone will complain that for this much money it should be right from the start .... wet, lather, rinse, repeat ... I'm going to go run trains.

@OldEastRR It is quite well documented that the reason Max changed railroads is due to his new locale, not because of a disdain for missing locomotives in the marketplace.  After all, what he could not find HE CREATED through great modeling skills.

One need only to look at his website  http://maxcowonline.com/ to discover his modeling genius.

FWIW, I am not concerned about steam dome size or any other incorrect details on the M1a.  BLI works closely with the PRRT&HS to produce highly accurate models.  Unfortunately the same cannot be said about Bachmann.

There are also enough photos posted of models that have been on display at various train shows.  Yes, these are probably pre-production models, but other than one of the keystones being crooked, I don't recall any significant objections to the overall appearance.

That doesn't really mean much since we've basically been told not to comment on photographs and pre-production models.
