Elevated the right hand (as you are looking) side slightly.......

So you did read my post about that. Hopefully the grade now is more to your liking.

Kind of a slow Weekend Update - maybe everyone is watching tall men in shorts walk from one foul line to another after endless time-outs?

Nope , I hate basketball !

I installed the red SMDs for 6707 so I thought it was a good opportunity to pose it beside CN 8918.

I built a swing-out staging section that can be stowed under the layout when not in use.

More information in my Seaboard Central 2.0 thread in the Layout Engineering Forum.

Nah.

Been decaling some cars for my 1975-76 American Freedom Train. Hopefully can shoot clear tomorrow/today, Sunday.

Got a quick demo of something I've been working on: Conrail specific engine sounds via JMRI virtual sound decoder.

This one is a an EMD 16-567C with a Wabco E2 "honker", as per the details on the model.

/>
Sound is coming through the stereo on the other side of the room, and I still have some syncing with speeds (the locomotive is slower than the vsd is expecting), but I'm enthused by he progress and potential.

That sounds good, but the "clicking" of your DCC throttle is distracting in your video.

Lol, I know... That's what happens when I hold the throttle next to the phone I'm shooting video with.

When it was not constant,  I thought it was just the spitter valve going off.

This is nice, now you need wearable speakers to keep the sound 'localized' to the operator.

The spitter sound is next on my to-do list. It's so quintessential, it sounds naked without it.

I think there may be some ability to do that with WiiThrottle, actually, but I haven't gotten into it yet. I've been more concerned with getting the sounds right first.
