Model Master "Panzer Gray" seems to be a good Grimy Black for my purposes.

Panzer Gray is what I ended up with on there now. It's still not quite what I want. I am going to hit Lowes and look for the "blindfold" to see how that goes.

Making some good progress on TMER&L #4.

These served the Lake Power plant just south of Milwaukee and interchanged with the Milwaukee Road at Powerton Junction.

And I thought I had a lot of logs in the fire. Nice work, Craig.

Bob

Thanks guys.

Yeah I'm one of those chronic non-finisher types. I started detailing some of these models about ten years ago. The CPR locos were decalled three years ago I think.

As far as what railroad do I model? I don't even know any more.

That's some kickass traction goodness.
How'd you make / where'd you source the pantograph?

Outstanding (as usual) work everybody. Love that blade train, and Jim, that critter is looking AWESOME!
Picked up a couple of WSOR cars in last two weeks, and got around to making them look like they are equipped with cushion control. On the Atlas car, I used Z scale couplers attached to K&S brass channel screwed to the car floor, on the MicroTrains, I replaced the stock floor with an Eastern Seaboard Models Hydroframe floor after gluing the stirrups to their appropriate corners.

Then I added a Richmond Controls FRED unit to the MicroTrains car
/>The capacitance that Jim has built into this unit has it still blinking over 15 minutes after being taken off of the tracks! This will be a very colorful car to bring up the rear of my train next weekend at the Harper College show in Palatine Il.

well not very happy with my meager work this week, compared to the rest of the group.
but just to keep me motivated, I got the basic weathering of my company building.  The white mortar wash didn't go like I wanted so I ended up using white chalk, and that left the building duller than I was aiming for.  Lots more to do, window glass, lights, exterior details, roof, etc..  Any feed back won't hurt

have a good week
Miguel

Train club was at the Sacramento Train Show this weekend. Scored some great deals on OOP MT rolling stock  :D but we had two engines (DCC no less) stolen off the layout  :x

It was a busy week in my basement.

First there was a flood.

Then there was the cleanup, but THEN there was more progress.

You can keep up with the happenings on my layout engineering report:

After a couple of setbacks I'm calling this one done. Got the Loksound Micro programmed and she's running good.

Also got started on R.I. 1269.  http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=132342
