I could use some 4 bay covered hoppers like those diagrams ...

I forgot to mention that Microscale says these hoppers are 54' long. The decal set I'm talking about is 60-23.

I'm convinced the drawings are wrong, so I'll use the Atlas car style for the decals.

By the way, the Hercules car image shows just "Hercules" as the main graphic in the photo I posted, but the decal has "Hercules," plus "Hi-Fax/Pro-Fax to the right.

Well ACFX is um ACF so I doubt if they'd use a rib side hopper. ;)

  could be Magor 4 bays,but why would they have ACFX on them ?
  think the Magor was around 5250-5500 CUFT,will check later.
  DuPont was a big user of the Magor cars,but they had Full height sides,
  not P-S style Short sides.
   a lot of the Early Micro Scale drawings were WRONG,so don't get to
  worked up about it.
  a lot of early Micro Scale data was also wrong,ever see a 5000 CUFT
  1937 AAR Boxcar ?
  M-S had that on one side of an S&A 3713 CUFT AAR boxcar.
  this is one reason many of the early sets have been DQed or up-graded
  over the years.

As for Kiz's original question,there is/was this 4 bay PS-2 (I think).This is the Austrian version so I'm guessing Con Cor.



I was going to post this early this morning but my nride to the trainshow showed up ontime for a change.  :D

We need both good 5250s, early and late, and the early 4650 with the horizontal rib.  Those were very common out west, as grain cars, and have never been made in N scale.  The later 4650 is available from both MT and IM, but the early one has to be kitbashed from an early 5250, and even those are hard to find today.

   the previous post didn't say that Pullman never built 4 bay cars,
  because they did,but most were the P-S Frameless design cars.
  Magor built a number of 4 bays in the 60s,either matching P-S
  output,or slightly exceeding it.
  but P-S kept building cars thru the 70s,Magor shut down late 71,
  or early 72.
   as for the N Roco/AHM/Con-Cor type 4 Bay,it has been stated in
  the Model Press that the Design was Offered,but never built.
  Magor also built the Southern Big John Fleet and copies for at least
  Seaboard.
   but just don't believe the M-S drawings from the late 60s/early 70s.
  M-S did correct some,DQ some,and ignore some others.
  Edit- didn't see Your N&W Links until after posting,intresting cars.
          believe U.P. had some P-S cars like the HC64s.
