Went to the Foley, AL train show today and ran into Bruce (arbomambo).  Always great to meet a fellow Railwire member!  Here's his T track modules on display.

Great stuff this weekend.  I did something revolutionary for me- I dropped 15 sets of power feeds and wired up a central bus.  Now all the major sections have direct power, a big change from the single set I have always used.  I also dropped 12 frog feeders for future juicers and installed the rest of my springs for the turnouts.  All in all rather tedious work, but hopefully it will pay off in better performance.

I did. I heated up the plastic and then used a flat head screwdriver to do the dents.

You guys are hurting my heart with the posting and reposting of the MWCX gon.    It makes me sad to see my beloved UFIX coalveyors relegated to such duty, and in such decrepit condition.

Those little UFIX cars did nothing but single-handedly supply power to dang near the entire state of Texas for, oh, about 30 years.

Is there no justice?   ;)

You don't see too many people building those models. I wish I was able to grab those Sidney Model Works chip car kits but I missed th boat. I've got 10 of the CS Models kits on the assembly line and have done 6 of the Kaslo spine cars. I'm hoping to get some more but John has been back ordered for quite a while.

What did you use to weight the spine cars?  I got in on some of the Tungsten weights Tim did a few years ago, but as it turns out I'll need a bunch more.

You did a very nice job. Keep up the good work!

At least they are in scrap service and not the scrap pile ?

I was also in on the Tungsten weight order that Tim organized a few years back. That is what I used with these. I sure could use some more as well as a several more of the skeleton log cars. Maybe we could split the cost of an order in the near future. Have you spoken with John at Kaslo lately about getting these back in stock?

Almost finished product: Weathering done, trucks painted, need to rust them up more with some black
to tone down gray, couplers rusted up. All acrylics.
