Warmest winter? We had the coldest February on record here in Southwestern Ontario. Nothing like feeling your nose hairs freeze to the inside of your nostrils.

Whoever took that picture of the LAUPT "obelisk" really had to work hard to frame it without the surrounding clutter of palm trees.

Well, I guess the angle from the back works. Unusual day to get the sky a shade of chamber-of-commerce blue... the marine layer usually keeps downtown fairly hazy.

No trip to LAUPT is complete without stopping at Philippe for a french dip! It's really a shame our connection was too tight the past couple of times we were there.

Planet-wide, though, it was the warmest.  While the east was buried in snow, the Rockies, the West Coast, and Alaska have had almost no winter at all.

Well while you guys have been freezing your butts off we were supposed to have the hottest summer since way back (according to the forecasts). No body told mother nature though and so we had a very mild summer with only a few days close to the 40C degrees. Not much rain either.

Nice job Reese.  But I'm wondering if there is a hidden message in those rusty scratches between the ribs?

Starting to weather rolling stock. Bought kids chalk, weathering decals and using artists water color.
And the winner is ---- Artists water color. Chalk looks OK on structures. The decals look a little
weird.
